ITINERARY
Day 1: ATHENS / CRETE: Morning: Athens city tour including Acropolis and the Archaeological museum. Afternoon transportation to the port. Embarkation and ferry trip to Heraklion - Crete. Accommodation on board.
Day 2. CRETE: Arrival Crete. Reception at the port of Heraklion. The city of Heraklion and the palace of Knossos. Break for a light lunch with Pita gyro. Later in the afternoon transportation to the hotel. Dinner at the hotel. Accommodation Crete (Light lunch - Dinner)
Day 3. CRETE: South central Crete the ruins of GORTYS and PHAESTOS. Break for rich lunch at the lake of Zaros with local traditional specialties. Later early afternoon back to the hotel. Join the facilities of the hotel and join the swimming pool or the sea. Dinner at the hotel. Accommodation Crete (Breakfast - Lunch Dinner)
Day 4. CRETE: The sites of MALIA / LATO / the Byzantine church of PANAGIA at KRITSA and the city of AGIOS NIKOLAOS. Break for lunch at the village of PLAKA and why not for a refreshing swim at the clear waters. Llater in the afternoon back to the hotel (Breakfast - Lunch - Dinner)
Day 5. CRETE/ PIRAEUS: Morning mountain cultural tour. Contact the locals and visit a 13th century small church. Our lunch is in the picturesque, authentic village of Drosia (where they serve only what they grow on their own land, including the wine!). Then it's back to the ferry for the night trip back to Athens. Embarkation and return to Athens. (Breakfast - Lunch)
