Itinerary:
Day 1:
Athens
Arrival. Reception at the airport. Transportation to the hotel. Accommodation Athens at A Class **** hotel. (dinner)
Athens:The Capital of Greece and the most ancient capital of Europe. Established by goodness Athena herself and glorified by Pericles. Athens is blessed with the best climate of Mediterranean. The glory, which was classical Greece, is evident everywhere from Acropolis to Parthenon to every corner of the old city. Her museums are renown from their marvels and her nightlife in the picturesque Plaka makes Athens a wonderful destination.
Day 2:
Athens City tour including Acropolis
Morning the city tour, the Acropolis and the archaeological museum. Afternoon on your own to walk around the city. Accommodation Athens (Breakfast - lunch -dinner)
Day 3:
Peloponese / Mycenae – Epidavros – Nafplion
Morning departure from your hotel and first break at the Canal of Corinth. The tour will continue to Mycenae for visiting the famous Palace, the Lions Gate and the Tomb of King Agamemnon. Our next stop will be at Epidavros for visiting the Ancient Theatre. Passing by the Bay of Nafplion, we will arrive in the picturesque town. Dinner and overnight in Nafplion. (Breakfast - lunch -dinner)
Day 4: Olympia
Driving through the central Peloponese, Arcadia, as well as the town of Tripoli and Megalochori arrive in Olympia, the cradle of the Olympic Games. There you will have the opportunity to visit the Sanctuary of Olympian Zeus and the museum. Dinner and overnight in Olympia. (Breakfast - lunch -dinner)
Day 5.
Nafpaktos – Delphi
Departure from the hotel for Delphi through Patras, the capital of the Peloponese. Cross with the ferryboat from Rio to Antirion and passing by Nafpaktos (Lepanto), make a stop at the seaside areas of either Galaxidi or Itea. Continuing you will have the chance to visit the Monastery of Profit Elias. Arrive in Delphi and visit Castalia Spring as well as the Sanctuary of Athena Pronaia. Dinner and overnight at Delphi (Breakfast - lunch -dinner)
Day 6:
Delphi – Trikala – Kalambaka - METEORA
Visit the archaeological site, and, the MUSEUM of Delphi. Depart for KALAMBAKA via Central Greece (short stop by Lamia). Overnight stay in Kalambaka (a small town built at the foot of the majestic grey rocks and crowned by the METEORA Monasteries). (Breakfast - lunch -dinner)
Day 7:
Meteora – Thermopylae - Athens
Leave in the morning for nearby Meteora to visit the BYZANTINE MONASTERIES. Return to Athens passing the heroic monument of Leonidas at THERMOPYLAE.Back to Athens late afternoon. Accommodation Athens (Breakfast - lunch -dinner)
Day 8:
Flying back home
Breakfast and transportation to the airport. END OF SERVICES (Breakfast)
