Our cooking classes allow you to immerse yourself in the culture and lifestyle of Crete and learn to cook authentic Cretan dishes in an informal and friendly environment.
You will learn the passion of the local kitchen and, importantly, have a lot of fun and enjoyment doing it.
All of the ingredients you will use are bought each morning from local open market and so you will be working with fresh fruit and vegetables in season. Throughout our cooking you will learn about the ingredients and the traditions around the dishes.

Fine accommodation at A Class lodge. Full refrigerator for the breakfasts, ALL MEALS: 18 absolutely Vegetarian meals (9 lunches + 9 dinners) rich, fresh, natural, healthy. [some of them we prepare our selves on our cooking classes and some others at the homes we are going to visit or at local traditional restaurants : each meal includes 6-8 different traditional vegetarian dishes, means over 100 different vegetarian specialties), - Transportation airport or port / hotel by arrival & hotel airport/port by departure. Chartered vehicle with driver for all excursions / visits / tours around the island, fuel.

Arrival ATHENS Airport. Connected flight to Heraklion / Crete.

SPOON SWEET MAKING:
Older times with unpaved roads and eople moved walking or with horses , mules and donkeys to visit someone you were obliged to walk for hours in dirty roads with lots of dust. Arriving the home the farm house lady the first think she did was to offer the traveler a small dish with spoon sweet and a glass of fresh water.
The spoon sweet to take off the awful taste of the dust and the water to clean up the mouth. SPOON SWEETS: A way to use the local seasonal fruits.

ARCHAEOLOGY and COOKING CLASS:
The palace of Knossos is a must! No one can say that visited Crete if will not step the palace of Knossos. This morning we visit the palace. Lunch in a local ESTIATORION with local specialties. After Lunch we'll return to the house for a cooking lesson on how to succeed in Cretan pastries, including hortopitakia and tiropitakia.
